Taylor was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and came to San Diego State to stay in California but explore a new city. During her 4 years at Valencia High School she was involved in numerous clubs such as the National Honor Society, the California Scholarship Federation, and Circle of Friends. She also participated in competitive swimming and volleyball. She also started her first job at at a restaurant her senior year where she learned basic customer service skills and a few cool pizza-making techniques. Today she is a second-year student pursuing a B.A. in Hospitality and Tourism Management and minoring in Spanish. After starting her freshman year at SDSU, Taylor became a food service associate for SDSU Catering, but recently decided to switch jobs to something she is more passionate about. She now works part-time at the Aztec Aquaplex as a lifeguard and coach when she is not too busy with school and extracurriculars. After college she hopes to stay in San Diego or another big city and one day have a fulfilling career in event planning for concerts and music festivals. Last year she served as the Director of Special Events for Alpha Gamma Delta, and now is the Vice President of Event Planning. Taylor pledged Delta Sigma Pi her first semester of sophomore year-as part of the Gamma Pi pledge class-after deciding to be involved with both her social sorority and a professional business fraternity. In her free time, she enjoys working out, exploring San Diego, and spending time with friends and family.
