Serena is a sophomore at San Diego State University who started in the Fall of 2018 pursuing a degree in Management. Growing up in Orange County, she had a passion for dancing since she was three years old and competed from the age of seven til she was fourteen. In high school, she was on Varsity Pep Squad for all four years and two of those she was a captain. During those four years in high school, Serena traveled to Piura, Peru four times to do missionary work. This really gave Serena a passion for service as well as experiencing new languages and cultures, especially being that she is a dual citizen with Italy. Since Serena had traveled to numerous different countries it has given her the desire to study abroad in Spain during her Spring semester of 2021. Her senior year of high school, Serena did an internship with MemorialCare Medical Foundation under the Chief Operating Officer and this past summer she did an internship with Providence St. Joseph Health Care in the Strategic Planning department. These experiences were such amazing opportunities for Serena and it really showed her how much she enjoys health management. During her pledging process, she was VP of community service for her pledge class Gamma Xi. Her year in this chapter has really given her a sense of friendship and higher value of what business is all about, and now she is on the Community Service Committee. Serena is the little to Sammy and the both of us always have a great time together, especially when we hang out with our other family members Zach and Justin. At San Diego State, Serena is in Ambassadors, Dance Marathon Assistant to Corporate Fundraising, Associated Students Community Service Commission, and the Weber Honors College. She enjoys spending time with friends, dancing, the beach, exploring, and traveling the world. She hopes to experience as many cultures as she can and experience life in an open-minded way.
