“Very often our victories were squeaked out in the last few minutes after we had drained the life from our opponents. Games – like life – are all about waiting for chances and then pouncing on them.” – Sir Alex Ferguson

Sam was born and raised in San Diego, California and graduated from Clairemont High School. Growing up sports was always a big part of Sam’s life, but the sport that stuck with him for life was soccer. Sam played for two years at Clairemont High School and then two more at San Diego Mesa College. His experiences on the field taught him the value of hard work, how to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds, and how to bring out the best in others. In his first semester at SDSU, Sam pledged Delta Sigma Pi where he found a new kind of team; one that will help him grow professionally. After graduation Sam hopes to enter the business of soccer which he hopes will take him around the globe watching the world’s biggest matches and working with the world’s best players. When he is not working on his free kicks on the field, Sam loves being in the ocean taking surf pictures with his GoPro camera and watching Manchester United every weekend.
