Morgan Piecukonis is a born and raised San Diegan native and is currently a second-year Pre-Management major specializing in Human Resources. She attended Canyon Crest Academy where she dedicated most of her time to being a captain for varsity golf and hosting foreign exchange students from Japan. Additionally, she spent two weeks doing foreign exchange in Kyoto, Japan shortly after her high school graduation. From her interactions with her golf teammates, the foreign exchange students she hosted and the family that hosted her in Japan, she grew an interest in interacting with people from all different kinds of backgrounds. Thus, she decided to pursue a career in human resources and make her way to San Diego State University. When she came onto campus at for the first time, she decided that she not only wanted to get involved on campus but also to push herself in areas that she wouldn’t have thought otherwise to improve. Morgan then pledged Delta Sigma Pi in the fall of 2018 as a part of the Gamma Xi pledge class where she was a part of the community service and fundraising committees. Morgan is now working for Associated Students as a Human Resources Assistant where she is extremely excited to finally explore the world of HR. After her time at SDSU, she hopes to pursue graduate school and then become a Human Resources Manager for a high-tech company. In her free time, Morgan enjoys to read any of Haruki Murakami’s books, hang with her cat Mittens, eat at any restaurant on Convoy street with friends, and especially loves to stop at Starbucks for a cheese danish.
