Morgan Piecukonis is currently a second-year, management student at SDSU who is originally from Carlsbad, California. Morgan had initially found a passion for meeting new people and helping people from all different walks of life in high school due to her experiences hosting foreign exchange students, teaching English to foreign exchange students, and doing a cultural exchange in Japan the summer after she graduated from high school. She found herself interested in human resources, thanks to her business-savy father who recommended the field to her, and thus the world of business. Her business interests eventually led her to San Diego State University where she pledged Delta Sigma Pi her freshman year as part of the fall 2018 Gamma Xi pledge class in hopes of developing herself and finding a new home at such a large campus. Morgan is currently the Vice-President of Professional Activities of Delta Sigma Pi for the spring 2020 semester and had previously served as the fall 2019 Director of Member Engagement. She currently works with the Associated Students of San Diego State University as a Human Resources Assistant, serving thousands of students a year in the recruitment and onboarding for part-time and full-time opportunities on campus. For academics, Morgan is excited to finally begin taking business classes in the spring of 2020 as well as revive her studies in Japanese by beginning her pursual of a minor in the language. Post-graduation she is considering pursuing an MBA and hopes to work in the human resources department of a high-tech company. In her free time, she enjoys getting food with friends and family on Convoy Street, hanging out with her cat Mittens, and grabbing a drink and pastry from Starbucks.
