Kylie Lafrades was raised in San Ramon, California where she attended Dougherty Valley High School. Throughout her high school career, Kylie was involved in the National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation, which prompted her to develop a passion for community service. With a former goal of entering the medical field, Kylie served as a front desk volunteer for her local hospital. This position not only educated her on the importance of effective communication in professional settings, but also taught her how collective efforts can make big impacts. Kylie is currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management and a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her focus in Human Resources stems from her interest in working with others, as well as her aspiration to maintain and embrace a diverse workforce. With limited knowledge regarding resumes and interviews, Kylie pledged Delta Sigma Pi during the spring semester of her freshman year. She continues to fulfill her passion for volunteering as the Vice President of Philanthropy for the Weber Honors College Student Society. She’s had the privilege of working with organizations like the Bannister Family House, People Assisting the Homeless, and the San Diego Rescue Mission. She also served on the community service committee for Delta Sigma Pi during the Fall 2019 semester, and hopes to find new ways to give back to the Fraternity. In her free time, she enjoys drinking caramel macchiatos, listening to EDEN on Spotify, and taking wannabe aesthetic Polaroid pictures with her closest friends.
