Kylie Lafrades was raised in San Ramon, California where she attended Dougherty Valley High School. Throughout her high school career, Kylie was involved in the National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation, which prompted her to develop a passion for community service. With a former goal of entering the medical field, Kylie served as a front desk volunteer for her local hospital. This position not only educated her on the importance of effective communication in professional settings, but also taught her how collective efforts can make big impacts. Kylie is currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management and a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her focus in Human Resources stems from her interest in working with others, as well as her aspiration to maintain and embrace a diverse workforce. With limited knowledge regarding resumes and interviews, Kylie pledged Delta Sigma Pi during the spring semester of her freshman year. She continues to fulfill her passion for volunteering as the Vice President of Philanthropy for the Weber Honors College Student Society and a member of the community service committee for Delta Sigma Pi. Kylie is also involved in the Asian Pacific Student Alliance, AB Samahan, and the Society for Human Resource Management on campus. In her free time, she enjoys drinking caramel macchiatos, listening to EDEN on Spotify, and taking wannabe aesthetic Polaroid pictures with her closest friends.
