Kristina McKenna is currently a junior studying Marketing at San Diego State University. She is originally from the agricultural city of Bakersfield, California. There she attended Bakersfield High School which she was very involved as a three-season athlete (tennis, swim, and basketball), an ASB member, French Club member and president, National Honor’s Society member, and member of several community service clubs. During her junior and senior years, she was in a Virtual Business class which introduced her to basic business - how to create a virtual business from ground up. She even had the opportunity to compete in state and national competitions in California and New York. From participating in these competitions and being a part of the class, Kristina realized business was something she wanted to pursue. Following high school she attended her local junior college, Bakersfield College, where she completed her Associate’s in Business Administration. When it came to choosing where to transfer too, San Diego was an easy choice - best business school, sunshine all the time, and the beach is 20 minutes away versus 2 hours. She did not know anyone in San Diego, and she knew the best way to meet new people was too get involved with the campus. Kristina rushed Delta Sigma Pi fall of 2018 to not only make new friends but surround herself with like-minded people and participate in an organization that will help her professionally. On her free time, she enjoys to watch cooking videos, watch Netlifx, go out to eat, online shop, jam out to 80’s music, and stress-bake. Furthermore, Kristina really loves to travel and more often than not you will find her looking up cheap flights for the next spontaneous ticket purchase.
