Katrina Hizon was born and raised in San Diego, California where she graduated from Scripps Ranch High School. She is 1 of 22 students in SDSU's class of 2021 of approximately 8,000 to receive the Merit Scholarship. From the very beginning of her college career, Katrina has seized every opportunity that has come her way. Her involvements span many communities on campus, including the SDSU Ambassadors, Weber Honors College Student Society, Mortar Board Senior Honors Society, Asian Pacific Student Alliance, and the 2019 CIBER Case Competition Team. As an incredibly career-driven individual, Katrina pledged Delta Sigma Pi her first semester freshman year in order to dive into the business world. Since then, she has served on the fundraising committee and as VP of Finance. This fall, she serves as the Iota Pi Chapter President. With regards to academics, Katrina primarily studies three fields: international business, Japanese language & culture, and economics. By the time she graduates in Spring 2021, Katrina will have completed two study abroad programs. She spent January 2019 in Berlin, Germany at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, and will be heading to Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan this upcoming spring for a full semester abroad. Post graduation, Katrina intends on working internationally in order to further develop her skills before applying to graduate school. In the meantime, catch her leading campus tours, snowboarding on weekends, or hanging out in Convoy.
