"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us."
Major: International Business with emphasis in Spanish and Western Europe
Pledge Class: Gamma Omicron
Garrett Munt is originally from Sacramento, CA and decided to move to San Diego to attend his dream college at San Diego State University as part of the Class of 2020. After taking up an early interest in the Spanish language, Garrett continued to practice this passion when selecting his International Business major. This fascination with foreign language and culture led him to join the International Business Society and during the Fall 2018 semester, he had the opportunity to study abroad in Bilbao, Spain. While his time spent abroad was truly extraordinary and eye-opening, he knew that upon his return to SDSU he wanted to become reacquainted with his campus. The perfect opportunity to do so presented itself when he rushed Delta Sigma Pi in the spring of 2019 and was given the privilege to pledge as part of the Gamma Omicron pledge class. Eager to get involved in the fraternity as an incoming senior, Garrett was appointed as the Director of Corporate Relations for the chapter. On campus, he hopes to conduct a few more study abroad workshops and to stay involved in the International Business Society in order to make a positive impact on study abroad students and to cultivate his passion for Spanish culture. In his down time, now that Garrett lives in Pacific Beach he hopes to surf and spend plenty of time at the beach. For his post-grad life, he is currently looking into attending SDSU grad school to obtain an MBA in International Business or pursuing a career where he can apply his knowledge of the Spanish culture with the business world.
