Dang Tran is a 4th year at San Diego State University majoring in Finance. Dang was born in Saigon, Vietnam and moved to San Diego at age eight with his parents and sister. He graduated from Mira Mesa High School where he was involved in various sports, which included: cross country, wrestling, and tennis. He previously worked at 85C Bakery Cafe in Mira Mesa where he held a supervisory position, accounting bread inventory and fluctuations based on demands. This past summer Dang had the opportunity to interned at a tech based company, CCS Global Tech, as a finance intern for their rotational program. Where Dang had the chance to work closely with the finance team as well as the CFO to assists with analyzing operational and financial data to boost the efficiency of the department. Now Dang is currently a financial analyst intern for Cerca Trova Restaurant Concept, a restaurant management company who owns and franchises restaurants across the country. His primary responsibilities are looking at weekly sales reports and analyzing profits. Dang’s hobbies involve playing video games, watching and playing sports, working out at the gym, and trying new restaurants with his sister. Post-graduation, Dang hopes to travel the world, work on his CFA certification, and eventually apply to an MBA program.
