Carolyn Yee is a senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She recently returned from study abroad in Paris, France, expanding her knowledge of international marketing practices, and was able to travel across Europe during her time there. On campus, she is involved in many organizations including SDSU eSports (Vice President, formerly President), Phi Eta Sigma (previously Secretary) and National Society of Leadership and Success (previously Logistics Coordinator), was the VP of Professional Activities in her pledge class, and served as the chapter's Director of Corporate Relations in Spring 2018. After getting involved in the video game community in high school, she became enamored with the culture and people of the gaming community and now strives to make her mark in the gaming sector. So far, as the president of SDSU eSports, she has organized 8 large scale gaming tournaments that hosted 400+ people from the school and the surrounding local population along with schools from all over the west coast (including UCSD, UCI, and CSULB). She also interned for the software company Smash.gg in the summer of 2018 as a Customer Success Intern. There she worked directly with large partners like Microsoft, Twitch, Epic Games, and Blizzard Entertainment to ensure that their events ran smoothly on the platform. Carolyn was also a part of the Lavin Entrepreneurship Program, which helped her see an entire new side of business in entrepreneurship and leadership. It also helped her create a network of contacts to further expand her event planning skills. She is an ambitious, highly motivated individual that always pushes herself to her fullest in everything she does. In her spare time, she loves to read sci-fi/fantasy novels, watch shows, hang with friends, and of course, play video games!
