"The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like, and do what you'd rather not." - Mark Twain
Pledge Class: Gamma Mu
Camryn McCrary was born in a small town in Ohio, Orrville, home of the great Smucker's jelly. There she was involved in many organizations during her high school years, such as playing tennis for 4 years, serving as a captain for 2, and was the Vice President of her school's National Honor Society for 2 years. During the summer of 2016 and 2017, Camryn served on the campaign team for Ohio's congressman, now senator, Jim Renacii and that experience sparked Camryn's interest in politics, the government field and public speaking. After traveling out West, Camryn fell in love with San Diego State University and attended the school in the fall of 2017. Wanting to be involved on campus while looking for a home away from home, she decided to pledge Delta Sigma Pi during her first semester in college. She was the Chancellor of her pledge class, served on the pledge committee during the spring of 2018 and was the Vice President of Pledge Education in the fall of 2018 as a brother in DSP. She is currently working as a campus ambassador for the textbook and research company, Pearson, which requires her to work with students and professors to improve the Pearson experience and products for consumers. In the future, Camryn looks to pursue a career in the fashion and beauty advertising industry hoping to work on the ethical issues that are shown on TV and social media. In her free time, Camryn loves to watch corny, mainstream Netflix shows, write about the most random things, jam out to rap and reggae music while hiking and, of course, stress eating until her homework is done.
