Pledge Class: Gamma Nu
Amy Nasser is originally from Poway, California, where she attended Poway High School. Throughout her years in school, she enjoyed playing tennis and running track, as well as being apart of a variety of clubs. Outside of school, Amy helped twice with the building of a single-family loft home in Mexico for a family in need. After having these wonderful experiences, Amy knew that she wanted to incorporate helping others in her future career. In the Fall of 2017, she came to San Diego State University for the exceptional Fowler College of Business to major in accounting. Amy wanted to get involved as much as possible, so she decided to join the Student Accounting Society (SAS) to learn more about her future career. Deciding in the second semester of her freshman year that she wanted to get involved even more, Amy decided to go through recruitment for the professional fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. She became apart of the Gamma Nu pledge class, and after becoming a member of Delta Sigma Pi, Amy served as the Vice President of Professional Activities. Last semester, Amy had an amazing experience studying abroad in England and traveling all around Europe, which has inspired her to live abroad again some time in the future. She is now looking forward to her internships with Lindsay & Brownell in the spring and EY in the summer. After graduating in Spring 2021, Amy plans on becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and working for a public accounting firm that also champions giving back to others. Amy enjoys road trips, traveling to new places, reading a good book, and exploring San Diego with friends.
