Pledge Class: Gamma Pi
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Alanie has always believed that she is meant to do more than her humble background. She naturally sought out knowledge to challenge herself to become someone that can make an impact. During her time at Palisades Charter High School--outside of diving into her studies--Alanie promoted unity on campus through her involvement in the Black Student Union, the Body Positivity Club, and the PCHS Yearbook. It was then when she decided to pursue higher education as a first-generation Marketing student at San Diego State University. And, in that pursuit, Alanie did not hesitate to grow in numerous organizations, including Delta Sigma Pi, to continue her advocacy for equality, creativity, and community. She now sits on three executive boards: Sister-to-Sister Liaison of the Student African American Sisterhood, College of Business Council Representative for the Black Business Society, and Vice President of Marketing for the Residence Hall Association. After her initiation in the Fall of 2019, she is excited to give back to the fraternity. In her free time, Alanie enjoys exploring city life, enjoying new foods, and catching up on her favorite shows and movies.
