John Oliver Hobart grew up in a small town called Sebastopol in Sonoma County California. During high school, John Oliver was concurrently enrolled in Santa Rosa Junior College so that he could earn additional credits while in high school. With these credits, he graduated high school in three years and applied to four-year universities as a junior in high school. His inner creativity and passion for working collaboratively led him to peruse a marketing major in his higher education. Seeking an education as prestigious as his goals John Oliver applied to the school of business at San Diego State. Wanting to get more involved on campus and in business John Oliver pledged Delta Sigma Pi in the Gamma Kappa pledge class his first semester of his freshman year. His passion for involvement has led him to become an active member of American Marketing Association, the Vice President of Technology for Finance and Investment Society, and the Senior Vice President of Delta Sigma Pi. He hopes that his education at San Diego State and involvement in Delta Sigma Pi will equip him to pursue his professional aspirations. In his free time, John Oliver enjoys photography, and turning wrenches on his MR2.
