Okaro grew up in Temecula, California where he attended Temecula Valley High School. He is now a senior majoring in Economics (emphasis in Quantitative Analysis) with minors in Mathematics and Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. Okaro pledged Delta Sigma Pi his Freshmen year and thus far has been the the Pledge Class Vice President/Acting President (Gamma Zeta), Vice President of Alumni Relations, ABSC representative, Research and Assessment Committee Director, and Vice President of Chapter Operations. Okaro has also been involved in 7 other student organizations during his time at SDSU, 4 honors societies to include Mortar Board, and has held a myriad of leadership positions on campus. Additionally, to further his career Okaro became a Financial Analyst Intern for Coursekey (Spring15), Economic Research Intern for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce (Spring16), CDFI Intern for the Department of the Treasury in Washington D.C. (Summer17), and participated in a study abroad at the University of Oxford, England. As well, Okaro is an EOP economics tutor and was on the Board of Directors for Aztec Shops Ltd. Okaro is now a Economic Research Assistant for Professor Clark Lundberg at San Diego State University and is currently applying for his PhD in Economics. In his free time Okaro enjoys long boarding, playing chess, and doing absolutely nothing at all.
