Pledge Class: Gamma Zeta
Okaro grew up in Temecula, California where he attended Temecula Valley High School. Okaro is now a 3rd year student studying Economics with an emphasis in Quantitative Analysis and minoring in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies and Math. So far at university Okaro has been the Vice President/Acting President for the Gamma Zeta pledge class and then Vice President of Alumni Relations and ABSC representative for Delta Sigma Pi. He was also the Project Sustainability Manager for Students With Academic Game, Senior Vice President of International Business Society, Rotaract Member, Vice Chair of Operations for ASUB, member of the Debate team, Financial Analyst Intern for CourseKey and on the Board of Directors for Aztec Shops. Okaro also had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program at Oxford University in England. More recently Okaro was an Economic Research intern for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and was awarded membership into Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society and Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society. Okaro is now the Vice President of Chapter Operations for Delta Sigma Pi and Director of the Research and Assessment Committee for Delta Sigma Pi. Okaro is now an Economic Research Assistant for Professor Clark Lundberg at San Diego State University and seeks to publish a paper. After graduation Okaro plans on getting a Phd in Economics. In his free time Okaro enjoys long boarding, going to the beach, and doing absolutely nothing at all.
