Monica Hernandez is currently a senior pursuing a major in Human Resource Management and a minor in Spanish. She was born and raised in Fresno, California and graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School. Throughout her four years in high school, Monica played varsity soccer, was involved in ASB, and completed over 300 hours of community service at local churches and shelters. When the time came to apply for colleges, she sought out for a competitive and challenging environment which is later why she chose San Diego State University. During her first semester of her freshman year, she immersed herself in the SDSU community by pledging for both Delta Gamma and Delta Sigma Pi in the Gamma Zeta pledge class. Her involvement in Delta Sigma Pi includes taking on two little's and holding the position of Director of Brotherhood. She has also joined SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management, and held the position of SD SHRM Liaison. Monica aspires to one day work as head of human resources for a company that promotes protecting the environment, animals, and healthy eating. For now, she is currently an Executive Recruiter Intern at Redline Associates. Some of her passions include working out, music festivals and raves, and road trips.
