Pledge Class: Gamma Iota
Christian Gurrola grew up in the San Fernando Valley where he was very involved in different organizations in high school. He went to Vaughn International Studies Academy where he studied Chinese for all four years in order to learn the most spoken language in the world to have advantages in the future. Being involved in ASB and Yearbook made him want to create his own community service organization, which he did, and called it Panacea. Panacea is still very active in his high school after five years since its founding. Gaining all his leadership experience from the many organizations he was in, he wanted to expand that experience so he applied to San Diego State and was accepted as a Film major. He then later decided to change his major to Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing but still wanted to integrate film into his career path and purse Film Marketing. He works at a movie theater back home every summer because of his love for film and likes both the film aspects, as well as the business aspects of the job. During his second year at SDSU, Christian pledged the Delta Sigma Pi Spring 2016 Gamma Iota pledge class, where he held the position of VP Fundraising, as a way to meet likeminded individuals with same interests and drive, and also as a way to grow his professionalism, commitment, and brotherhood qualities. In his free time, Christian likes to go on unexpected trips, especially late night car rides.
