Pledge Class: Gamma Nu
Amy Nasser was born in Poway, California where she attended Poway High School. Throughout her years at Poway, she enjoyed playing tennis and running track, as well as being apart of a variety of clubs. Amy especially enjoyed her experience in the Make-A-Wish club because she got to help raise money for kids with cancer. Outside of school, she helped twice with the building of a single-family loft home in Mexico for a family in need, which helped her to learn about other cultures and gain a new perspective. After having these wonderful experiences, Amy knew that she wanted to incorporate helping others in her future career. In the Fall of 2017, she came to San Diego State University for the exceptional Fowler College of Business to major in accounting. At this time, Amy started working at the on-campus Starbucks to gain new work experience and earn money. She wanted to get involved in her school as much as possible, so she decided to join the Student Accounting Society (SAS) to learn more about her future career. Deciding in the second semester of her freshman year that she wanted to get involved even more, Amy decided to go through recruitment for the professional fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. She became apart of the Gamma Nu pledge class and served on the Professional Activities Pledge Committee. Now being a member of Delta Sigma Pi, Amy hopes to give back to the Fraternity by running for leadership positions and any other way she can. In the future, she would like to work for a Big Four accounting firm and make an impact on the world. Amy loves staying active, skiing, shopping, traveling, and going to the beach.
