"and after high school you better get a degree 'cause it's a dog-eat-dog world, you could live in the street" - Russell E. Boring (Joba)

Alex was born in Oceanside, California and spent the first five years of her life in Indiana… out of all places. But she eventually moved back and has been raised in San Diego by her single mother ever since. She attended Poway High School here in SD and although San Diego State wasn’t her first choice, Delta Sigma Pi has definitely made the school feel like home for her. She rushed her second semester of freshman year because she wanted to put herself out there and meet others who were both fun and professional. She choose accounting in hopes of entering the FBI to work as a forensic accountant. But before that she hopes to spend time at a Big Four Firm, mainly PwC because of the cultural diversity they emphasize. One thing she is proud of is being Mexican/American which allows her to have an appreciation for other cultures, besides her own. Outside of school, Alex loves to go to concerts, eat vegan/vegetarian food, and sing karaoke. Alex found a love for indie, alternative and r&b soul music these past couple of years and loves meeting people who share the same love. A few of her favorite artists include Mac Ayres, Jakob Ogawa and John Mayer. Besides having a large love for all things music, her favorite past time is spending time in Indiana on her grandma’s farm and trail riding with the mules and donkeys, which is her favorite animal(s)... Another hobby of hers is helping the community and in high school she found a love for serving through Key Club. She hopes this year to rush a community service fraternity or join a service organization on campus to continue serving her community.
